Peter studied Graphic Design at the Durban University of Technology. From 1977-85 - he worked as an Art Director and creative head in various multinational advertising agencies in South Africa. 


In 1986 Peter started his own advertising agency with John Charter and held the position of Executive Creative Director. Matthews & Charter was rated in the top three most creative agencies in South Africa by Financial Mail, and rated as the ‘Agency of the Year’ in 1989 by Readers Digest. In 1995 – the agency partnered with Ogilvy and renamed Matthews & Charter Ogilvy.


Peter has won many local and international awards for his work including Cannes, New York and London International. After 16 years as creative head of Matthews and Charter Ogilvy, in 2000 Peter sold his shares to Ogilvy to focus on film, art and meaningful marketing.



Elle is a writer and producer, with a background in English, Psychology, PR and Marketing. She is responsible for new business, strategy and overseeing our team of writers, copy editors and content creators, to create the right narrative for clients, according to their brand needs. 


She ran the in-house PR Department for M&C Ogilvy ad agency for many years, and held the position of Account Director & Strategic Planner - handling PR and media campaigns for a number of blue chip clients including Volvo, Yamaha, Unilever and Bata – and overseeing a staff of eight. 


Elle is also the owner and Head Writer at Origin of Story, a company affiliated to Riverstone Studio, that communicates the essence of a brand, crafts true identities for clients and helps shape customer perceptions.



When creativity has become your habit; when you've learned to manage time, resources, expectations, and the demands of others; when you understand the value and place of validation, continuity, and purity of purpose, then you're on the way to an artist's ultimate goal; the achievement of mastery.
